Arrange the required inbound policy for your first point of entry
Most foreign visitors need the official inbound policy, even if they hold other insurance. Buy from NIC if Mainland Tanzania is your first point of entry, or ZIC if Zanzibar is first; you should not have to buy twice for one journey covering both. Cover lasts up to 92 days. NIC exempts foreign visitors resident in EAC or SADC partner states from Mainland cover; that does not automatically exempt them in Zanzibar, where ZIC lists a reduced rate for travelers from those states. Keep the certificate or QR code accessible, carry comprehensive travel insurance too, and confirm your eligibility and current price with the provider.
