Arrival guidanceEntry conditions and exceptions
Check whether these rules affect your eligibility, application, or arrival.
Taiwan’s visa-free entry has place-of-birth exceptions
Taiwan excludes some ordinary passport holders from visa-free entry based on place of birth. This affects passports from Belize, Eswatini, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, and Tuvalu that list Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Nigeria, Pakistan, the People’s Republic of China, Syria, or Yemen as place of birth; and Honduran passports that list the People’s Republic of China. If this applies to your passport, the visa-free route shown above may not apply. Confirm your case with BOCA before travel.
