Visa-free

No tourist visa needed.

For tourism in Jamaica, ordinary passport holders from Mozambique do not need a visa. Jamaica's Immigration Officer at the port decides whether to admit you and how long you may stay, whether or not you need a visa. A nationality's published visa-free period does not guarantee that full time will be granted. Check the leave-by date in your passport and apply to PICA before it expires if you need more time.

Extensions need approval before your landing time expires

Apply to PICA before the leave-by date stamped when you entered; an extension is not automatic. PICA lists a visitor maximum of 12 months for Commonwealth citizens and 6 months for non-Commonwealth citizens, but these are overall visitor-category ceilings, not the stay granted automatically on arrival. A visitor-extension application requires a passport with at least six months remaining, a return ticket, a letter explaining the reason, any applicable entry visa and a JMD 10,000 processing fee.
