Bali has a separate foreign-tourist levy

If your Indonesia trip includes Bali, the province charges a separate IDR 150,000 levy for foreign tourists. One payment covers travel in Bali until you leave Indonesia. The amount and payment rules are separate from any Indonesian visa fee; Bali-specific visa and residence exemptions apply, and some exemptions need approval. The levy does not apply to trips that do not include Bali. Check the official Love Bali guidance for your eligibility and current payment options.

Official guidance

C1 stays can be extended

C1 stays may be extended several times, up to a maximum total stay of 180 days. Confirm the current extension procedure in the official portal before applying.

Official guidance

C1 does not authorize paid work

C1 holders may not sell goods or services or receive pay for work from an individual or company in Indonesia.

How do I pay the Bali tourist levy?

If visiting Bali, check the official Love Bali service for any exemption before paying the separate tourist levy. Payment is cashless. The provincial government recommends paying online before departure to Bali; keep the levy voucher and QR code sent to your email. Payment is also available at Bali airport or port counters and registered Love Bali endpoints. One payment covers Bali travel until you leave Indonesia.
