A qualifying Schengen document may avoid a separate Cyprus visa
The Ministry says holders of a valid double- or multiple-entry Schengen visa, certain Bulgarian, Croatian or Romanian national visas, or residence permits issued by Schengen states or those three countries may visit Cyprus for up to 90 days in any 180-day period without an additional short-stay visa. This exception does not apply to Turkish or Azerbaijani citizens. Check that your document is valid for the trip and for re-entry to its issuing country.
Official guidanceA Cyprus visa is valid only for the Republic of Cyprus
The Ministry says Cyprus visas and residence permits currently apply only to the Republic of Cyprus. They do not grant a right to travel freely in the rest of the Schengen area; check those countries' entry rules separately.
Official guidanceArrive through a legal Republic of Cyprus entry point
The Ministry lists Larnaca and Paphos international airports and the ports of Larnaca, Limassol, Latsi and Paphos as legal entry points. It says entry through an airport or port in an area where the Republic's government does not exercise effective control is illegal under Republic law.
