The Japanese Consulate-General in Dubai's local guidance says a 30-day on-arrival visa is normally granted at Dubai International Airport, but also reports that some travelers were told by Dubai immigration they could stay 90 days; the Consulate says it is seeking clarification from UAE authorities.
