Details that can change your plans

A child traveling without a parent may need extra permission

Foreign children under 15 who are unaccompanied by, or not coming to, a parent may need a Waiver of Exclusion Ground. Check the Bureau of Immigration’s procedure before arranging the trip.

Official guidance

Confirm the rule if your passport expires soon

The Bureau of Immigration's published 2015 orders describe a limited exception for listed visa-free nationalities whose local embassy or consulate can renew or extend the passport, provided no other ground bars entry; a later order adds UK nationals. The DFA's current guidance still states six months beyond the planned stay. Because the exception orders are old, confirm directly with Philippine immigration, your consulate and your airline before relying on it.
